Yesterday I had the honor of appearing on a panel of women, far more expert than me, to discuss human trafficking in rural, especially mountain, areas. The turnout was exceptional: 55 people including 8 men. The ages ranged from 14-80.
The core group of activists/strategists had been working for years to bring awareness to their community that mostly feels safe and insulated in their small mountain towns.
They got the conversation started, and I’m confident they’ll keep it going, taking action steps along the way.
It’s all better with friends.
